Type of Property: Apartment The views, whether seen from the house or from a slice of heaven modestly called a terrazza, are utterly magnificent. Comacina, right in the middle of Lake Como sits at your feet along with the lake and the mountains surrounding it. Prima Isola is a spotless and bright two level apartment in a three story home. The main level features a large living area with a double set of glass doors overlooking the lake and opening to a furnished, panoramic terrace. There are comfortable lounge chairs and a sofa at one end, a spacious kitchen area at the other end and a dining table for six in the center. The two bedrooms on this level, each with its own bathroom, are at opposite ends of the floor. While the bedroom on the lower level is smaller than those above, it does enjoy a separate kitchen area, independent indoor and outdoor access and a living area equipped with a cozy fireplace. The owner, who lives on the top floor, shares a lower level laundry room equipped with a washing machine. For those with a laptop, a ADSL Internet connection is possible. Firewood is included in the price. Maid service and porter assistance may be arranged when booking. About 75 steps down from this hillside perch is the main coastal road and an enclosed garage with parking for one car. Additional parking is found within 100 yards along with a fisherman's restaurant. The village center is 300 yards away. Sala Comacina with ferries to Comacina Island is a five minute drive away, as is Tremezzo. Lenno with a grocery store and the nearest hydrofoil stop is within a 10 minute drive. Bellagio, directly across the lake, is reached in 20 minutes by ferry. Menaggio with the closest bus terminal is 15 minutes by car; Como and its train station: 30; Lugano in nearby Switzerland: 45; Milan: 120.
